WHO’s klæriti?
Is it “who is” or “who has” a sense of klæriti? Either way – it’s me, Nele. I own “a sense of klæriti”. I put that in quotation marks because some days I know what I’m doing. Others I don’t. We all figure life out as we go. You. Me. Everybody. Knowing that – sets you free. To play around and have fun. In life.
I’m a professional ski and SUP instructor, yoga teacher, creator of the SUP SOLO guide and butler to a two-year-old boy. Currently based in Germany. Between Buxtehude and the Black Forest.
And if you’re still wondering what’s with the word “klæriti” – say it out loud… there you have it.

WHAT I’m doing
I teach 500+ hrs of skiing during Winter. Spend 100+ days on slopes. Ride the lift over 1.000 times. Make over 154.115 metres of altitude.
I spend 500+ hrs at the lake during Summer. Teaching SUP lessons and SUP yoga.
That was before my son was born…
Now, I’m also a lot in an in-between space. Trying to navigate between mommy brain, Milchstau & matrescence.
To claim my spot in a (still) male dominated industry. Where there’s little-to-no-discussion about how to manage training, teaching and a toddler as new mum– and make this a sustainable job that supports me and my family.

WHY I’m doing it

HOW it all started
Add black pants, white sneakers and a pair of golden John Lennon glasses to the picture and there you have it – the 30-something designer who swapped the city for the countryside. Escaping the hectic urban life for lower rent, slower pace and homegrown vegetables.
Only that’s not quite how my story went.
I’ve fallen into this career rather accidentally. But let me take you back to 2019.
Within 6 months, I had broken up, moved out and into a new place. Got promoted. And fired. From a job I didn’t even like.
A “nothing is ever working out for me” crisis call with my sister later and before I knew I was on a train from Danmark to Deutschland. And on my way to become a ski instructor.

Behind the scenes
Facts about me that may surprise you
2015 vs. 2025
I used to live in Aarhus, Denmark. Moved there in 2010 to study MA Corporate Communication. Graduated from Aarhus University in 2012. Started my own design business in 2013. Lived there for 10 years. Speak Danish, Norwegian and Swedish.
Then I decided it’s time to ditch Denmark. My life as a marketing strategist & brand owner and move to the mountains. To become a ski instructor.
I’m a ELLE Decoration Top 10 Lister
I launched my first design company in 2013, when I was still living in Aarhus, Denmark. My products got featured across Europe in magazines like COUCH, Alt for Damerne, Jyllands Posten, VILLA, and Walden. Elle Decoration even listed them as a Top 10 Must Haves item.
You can’t buy them anymore. I retired that business in 2021. But if you’re feeling a bit sentimental about “good old days” – you can read the article here
I once got fired…
My boss let me go with the famous words “This doesn’t work.” When I asked, if he could elaborate on that. He said: “I’m sorry, I’m officially on holiday. I just came by to tell you.” Well… some C-level managers operate below sea-level…
Meanwhile, I flew to the Alps. Rode 4.700 meters altitude and 127km in 3 days on a MTB with my brothers. Started a project called “30DaysOfWohin” — When you have no idea of what to do with your life and 30 days to figure that out. Ended up working on a project with Allan Torp for nespresso, Studio Arhøj and others.

Not on insta, x or tiktok
Back in the days, my friends used to call me non-facebook-nele. And had to invite me – personally – to all parties.
I tried my luck with Instagram. But it’s not worth my time. So I deleted my account. Maire-kondoing my digital space, so to speak.
Why chase an average watch time of 4 secs? Compete against AI-generated content and ever-changing algorithms?
I have an engagement time of 90 minutes or more – in real life, with real people – winter and summer alike. That beats every SoMe platform on the planet.
